It's close to the end of the year. Results have been released for the past semester, placements have finished and holiday truly starts. Except for work, which is inescapable until... well, Christmas day.
So since all assignments have been completed, I have been going to a few places to eat, but mainly revisiting old favourites, eating old favourites and aimless wandering around old favourites. Blogging has gone kinda stale for me recently, and I cannot think of any ways to make it more interesting for myself and anyone who might stumble here (for actual content itself, not to spam!).. hm... anyway, today's so muggy that I can't wait to shower, so this entry shall be short and mainly pictures. Back to spring, when it wasn't so hot and uncomfortable.

Nature~ from guess where?

Wait wait, before nature comes food. A friend ordered this one.

We went to a Vietnamese restaurant at Cabramatta. That is one place I don't visit often. Only went there once since coming to Australia actually, and it was with an auntie that I liked very much. She was an awesome cook and somehow knew everyone in Cabramatta (which led to speculations on whether she collects protection fees or something...).

I play safe when in unknown territories. I ordered the usual rare/cooked beef noodle soup, specifically WITHOUT coriander. It was great =) Cannot get enough of pho (what "fur"? It's "foal" without the "l"!)

We were actually after the Vietnamese rice paper rolls, but they didn't have it that day, so springrolls were our only other option... not bad, but still, nothing beats Midori's springrolls. Have to go back there sometime...

Whose shadow looms upon the rock??

Colourful cactus? Or some sort of plant that is trying to be a cactus? It reminded me of 47 for some reason, but prettier.

From here, it looks like the surface of another planet.

And we're here! *cue: #My Heart Will Go On*. Too bad it was in bright day light. Where's the storm!!

Managed to get up close~

An exhibition out in the open~

It was a pretty small shipwreck, but the first I've seen in real life, as in out there in the middle of nowhere, not in some museum. That's SS Minmi, a coal carrier that struck Cape Banks in 1937.

Looks like the interior of the sky umbrella~

That's the shipwreck on the far end.

Yea, no, it wasn't a good time to visit... too bright, no atmosphere at all, and it was hot walking in the sun. I didn't bring sunscreen that day either =( and I tend to get red within an hour or two instead of a tan.

Shadows~ I just noticed that the little craters (the white stuff inside is salt)look like eyeballs. Like giant tunas' eyeballs.

Hello there. If you were bigger, you'd be my dinner. Soft shell crab is delicious...

"Fun si" (um... those transparent noodles made of mung beans? yea, those).

Ohai~ (^w^) The owners of this dog told him to pose and it immediately turned around and faced my camera to strike this pose. It's a smart albeit narcissistic dog.

Bear Island! I don't see no bear.

You can go fishing there! I like fishing... lines. I can't fish and I've never fished before in my life, but I used to love playing with fishing lines because they're so strong. I tied them everywhere when I was a kid! =D And when knotted, it's almost impossible to get them undone, unless you take a scissors to it. Reminds me of duct tape... and super glue! These three things are the best inventions ever~

Umineko!

Can't end the entry without food right? From one of the Korean restaurants in Strathfield. I don't think it really matters which one since they pretty much have the same dishes in their menus.

Just looking at this makes me feel the humidity and warm weather more.
From Weeks 44-48 |
This looks like a cold dish, but it wasn't. Seriously, some food really have to stop deceiving people with their looks, or need some specification on the menu whether it's "hot" or "cold"!
Sooo... hot..... ;______; I wanna go to Shirakawa Go... nao....
(oh yea, the nature stuff? Was all taken at La Perouse. FYI. Most people don't know about the shipwreck though and only visit Bear Island. They are all missing out.)

This reminds me, we still need to go fishing... though I hate fishing in the summer. Maybe in spring =P
Autumn you mean! =D
Fishing lines?
I have no idea where La Perouse it but it looks awesome! Your photos look amazing, especially of the shipwreck (would make awesome stock photos).
